December 8th, 2023 | Messianic World Update | Insights on Israel/Gaza War, and Regional Dynamics

Shalom everyone,

I'm Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you another edition of Messianic World Update. Today's date is Friday, December 8th, 2023.

I want to begin by highlighting the biased stance of various international bodies, such as the United Nations, towards Israel. It was evident that Israel is often excluded from the civility and humanity that these organizations claim to uphold. The UN chief's attempts to create a moral equivalency between Hamas and Israel raised concerns. Israel rightfully called for his resignation, since it was clear that the UN had been biased against Israel all along.

Moreover, there has been a failure on the part of certain women's and liberal organizations to protect the rights of Israeli women. These organizations have not addressed the atrocities committed by Hamas towards Israeli women. This war has shed light on the disturbing mindset of some individuals who hold biased and terrible views.

On a positive note, Ben Gavir, a far-right-wing member of the Israeli government, has implemented noteworthy measures in the Israeli prisons. He has segregated the Hamas terrorists involved in the October 7th event and placed them in a specific section of the renowned Dungeon prison. As a unique touch, they play the Israeli national anthem, Hatikvah, throughout the day. I thought that was very poignant as to how to deal with them.

The IDF has shown its determination to eliminate Hamas leaders and has made significant progress in the southern half of Gaza. The operation is ongoing, and Israel remains committed to targeting Hamas military personnel at all levels. Hamas fighters have been surrendering, and images have surfaced showing their capture. As a reflection of their own actions, they are treated similarly to how they treated Israeli hostages—stripped naked and transported in Israeli vehicles.

Israel has also prioritized the safety of civilians during this conflict. They have mapped out safe zones in certain neighborhoods of the southern part of Gaza, providing guidance for civilians to seek refuge while avoiding areas targeted by Israeli forces.

The underground tunnel war has come to the forefront, with Israel employing advanced robotics to navigate these dangerous passages. To render the tunnels useless, Israel has resorted to flooding them with seawater, a tactic borrowed from the Egyptians. By destroying the infrastructure in Gaza, Israel aims to neutralize the threat posed by these tunnels.

The United States' response during this conflict has raised concerns. While the President, Vice President, Secretary of State, and National Security Advisor have urged Israel to exercise restraint, it is clear that the United States' support should not hinder Israel's ability to defend itself. The majority of Congress and the American people stand firmly in support of Israel, and any attempt to withhold material support would face strong opposition.

Turning our attention to other regional dynamics, we discussed the situation with Hezbollah in the north. Hezbollah continues to launch anti-tank missiles into Israel, causing harm to both civilians and soldiers. Israel has taken a stand, demanding that Hezbollah retreat from the border region as agreed upon in previous UN resolutions. Israel has made it clear that failure to comply will result in severe consequences for Lebanon.

The U.S. response to Iran's involvement and support of Houthi rebels in Yemen has also been a point of contention. The U.S. has urged Israel not to launch a bombing campaign in response to attacks from the Houthi rebels. However, it is crucial to recognize that the war has already been expanded by these attacks, and Israel has the right to defend itself.

In closing, let us remember the importance of praying for the peace of Jerusalem. Jerusalem has become the epicenter of the world, and the conflict in the region has ramifications beyond its borders. As believers, we must stand with the God of Israel and pray for justice to be served against the enemies of Israel. This spiritual battle extends far beyond the physical realm, and we must remain steadfast in our support for Israel.

Shabbat Shalom to all of you.
