April 26, 2024 | Messianic World Update | Anti-Israel Protests in US Universities and Israel's Response
Shalom everyone. I’m Monte Judah with another edition of Messianic World Update. Today's date is Friday, April 26th of the year 2024. As always, we have a lot to cover today.
The United States is currently grappling with anti-Israel and anti-Jewish protests across several universities, which have disrupted classes and caused unrest, terror, and isolation. The protests are pro-Hamas, anti-Jewish, and a violation of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusivity (DEI) principles. Jewish students are often the target of harassment, threats, and discrimination, leading some to stay in their dorms and miss classes. The situation is reminiscent of the 1930s in Europe, especially Germany, and it is concerning that the student protesters are being funded externally, creating a significant challenge in finding a resolution to the situation.
Meanwhile, Israel continues to face various challenges and threats. A few days ago, Israel destroyed Hezbollah's headquarters in South Lebanon, including a few of its commanders and weapon storage facilities. Despite opposition from other nations, Israel remains committed to going after and killing Hamas terrorists to bring peace to its citizens. The Rafah evacuation is already underway, and thousands of Palestinians are being moved out of the city into a tent city to make way for the IDF to go into Rafah and get the last four Hamas battalions.
In Israel's recent attack on Iran, the country used a new weapon, called the Rampage Missile, launched by a stealth aircraft to hit a single S-300 radar site, which protects an Iranian nuclear weapons site. This development demonstrates Israel's military superiority and its ability to strike Iran at any time and place.
It is important to remember, however, that these conflicts are not just political or military issues but also have spiritual implications. Lion & Lamb Ministries, the organization behind this update, believes in the God of Israel and believes that it is essential to keep turning to Him for guidance during these challenging times.
Psalm 83 is particularly relevant at this time, with many countries coming against Israel and Pro-Palestinian protesters calling for the destruction of the Israeli nation and her people.
Psalm 83:
O God, do not remain quiet;
Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still.
2 For behold, Your enemies make an uproar,
And those who hate You have exalted themselves.
3 They make shrewd plans against Your people,
And conspire together against Your treasured ones.
4 They have said, “Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation,
That the name of Israel be remembered no more.”
5 For they have conspired together with one mind;
Against You they make a covenant:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
Moab and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined with them;
They have become a help to the children of Lot. Selah.
9 Deal with them as with Midian,
As with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon,
10 Who were destroyed at En-dor,
Who became as dung for the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb
And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 Who said, “Let us possess for ourselves
The pastures of God.”
13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
Like chaff before the wind.
14 Like fire that burns the forest
And like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with Your tempest
And terrify them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with dishonor,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever,
And let them be humiliated and perish,
18 That they may know that You alone, whose name is the Lord,
Are the Most High over all the earth.
In conclusion, the world is facing significant challenges, and it is crucial that we remember to turn to God for guidance and strength as we navigate these difficult times.
Shabbat Shalom to all of you.
