September 20th, 2024 | Messianic World Update | Israel's Bold Move Against Hezbollah: Exploding Pagers and a New Peace Proposal

Shalom, everyone, I'm Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today's date is Friday, September 20th of the year 2024. As we approach the fall holiday season, I want to share with you some significant developments in the ongoing Middle East conflict that have unfolded over the past week.

Israel has taken a bold and unprecedented step in its efforts to combat Hezbollah. In a move that has shocked the world, Mossad orchestrated an ingenious operation that resulted in the explosion of electronic pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah operatives. This operation, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, has caused substantial casualties and injuries within Hezbollah's ranks, with reports indicating 37 deaths and over 5,000 injuries.

The operation's success lies not only in its physical impact but also in its psychological effect. Hezbollah's leadership and operatives are now wary of any electronic device, severely disrupting their communication networks. This development has been likened to a "Hezbollah 9/11" by some Lebanese officials, highlighting its significance.

In response, Hezbollah has escalated its rocket attacks on northern Israel. The IDF has retaliated by targeting ammo bunkers and rocket launchers. Israel's primary goals remain clear: to enable northern residents to return to their homes and to push Hezbollah away from the border, preventing a potential repeat of the October 7th Hamas attack.

On the diplomatic front, Israel has proposed a new deal to Hamas, offering safe passage out of Gaza for Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’ Gaza Leader, and remaining Hamas leaders in exchange for the immediate release of all hostages. While this proposal offers a potential path to ending the conflict, it remains to be seen whether Hamas will seize this opportunity.

Meanwhile, the Palestinians have made moves in the United Nations, securing a non-binding resolution in the General Assembly calling for Israel to leave all areas where Palestinians have a presence, including the Old City of Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria, within a year. However, this resolution is unlikely to have any practical effect.

As we enter this volatile period of the fall holidays, we must remain vigilant and prayerful. The enemies of Israel have often chosen these times for their attacks, as we painfully remember from last year's October 7th tragedy, which was the Simchat Torah celebration day.

I urge you all to pray for Israel's safety, for the remaining hostages in Gaza, and for wisdom for leaders on all sides. Let us also not forget to pray for our own country as we approach important elections.

Remember, despite the turmoil we see in the world, our hope remains steadfast in the coming of our Messiah. He will ultimately bring peace to this troubled region and the entire world.

Shabbat Shalom to all of you.
