Shalom, everyone, I'm Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today's date is March 28, 2025, and there are major developments to share from the Middle East.
The United States has significantly escalated its military operations against the Houthi rebels in Yemen. The Navy and Air Force are conducting intensive attacks with multiple aircraft carrier battle groups deployed to the region. What's particularly noteworthy is that the White House has delegated full operational control to US CentCom, allowing military leadership to determine targets based on intelligence rather than political considerations.
In a historic development from Gaza, we're witnessing unprecedented public protests against Hamas by Palestinian citizens. After months of destruction following the October 7 attack, Gaza's residents are openly expressing their frustration with Hamas's leadership - a phenomenon we've never seen before.
The IDF continues its methodical operations in Gaza, now targeting both the military and the political wings of Hamas. Despite various diplomatic efforts to negotiate hostage releases through temporary ceasefires, Hamas continues to reject all proposals, demonstrating what I've previously described as the spirit of Amalek - focused solely on destruction rather than building a future for their people.
In Israel's north, the IDF maintains its strategic operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, although the “ceasefire” is still technically in place. The IDF discovered a cache of drones in Beirut and subsequently initiated bombing raids to eliminate the weapons.
Internally, the Israeli government faces challenges with the Haredi military service issue and the recent firing of the Shin Bet Chief, Ronan Bar. In the latest legislative developments, the government’s budget was passed with the help of Ben Gvir and the religious parties casting their votes for the bill. Additionally, the judicial reform bill has passed. These were the two critical pieces of legislation for PM Netanyahu to get passed in order to sustain a stable government and a majority in the Knesset.
In the US, an intelligence situation broke this week when it was discovered that an editor from The Atlantic magazine was included on an encrypted text message meant for top officials involved in defense decisions. The app that was used is the Signal App, which former President Biden ordered to have installed on all government devices. An investigation is underway, and we look forward to changes being made in the communications systems of our government leaders.
These events continue to unfold as prophetic markers of our times, requiring our careful attention and prayer.
