Shalom, everyone, I’m Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is Friday, September 26, 2025.
This week has been filled with significant developments that directly affect Israel, the Middle East, and the prophetic picture we follow as believers in the God of Israel.
President Trump has announced his opposition to Israel’s planned annexation of Judea and Samaria after meeting with Arab and Muslim leaders at the United Nations. This decision surprised many, as it reverses earlier support and raises concerns about how U.S. policy will shift moving forward. The nations are applying tremendous pressure on Israel to retreat from its biblical inheritance, echoing what the prophets told us would take place in the last days.
At the U.N.’s annual gathering, France and the United Kingdom joined forces to push through a non-binding resolution declaring a Palestinian state. Though the resolution has no direct legal force, it reflects the growing alignment of world powers against Israel. We should not be surprised — Zechariah 12 warns us that all nations will one day come against Jerusalem. The groundwork for that prophetic fulfillment is being laid before our very eyes.
Here in the United States, we have 178 House Democrats that also oppose the position of Israel annexing the West Bank. We already kind of knew that because those House Democrats are opposed to Israel on virtually everything there is. Netanyahu, after visiting the UN, is scheduled to go to the White House and to discuss all of these issues, including annexation as well as the war in Gaza. Arab leaders have said that annexing Samaria and Judea is a red line to them, and that they have threatened no more regional integration talks if Israel does it.
Gaza operations are still continuing and becoming even more intense. By the way, this morning when Netanyahu was speaking at the UN, they set up loudspeakers all over Gaza and Gaza City so that the hostages could hear Benjamin Netanyahu sending a message to them. And he spoke to them of hanging on; they’re heroes in Israel. Israel has not forgotten them, and Israel is coming to get them. That was the message broadcast across Gaza. Hopefully, the hostages heard it. And he also put a word out to Hamas telling them that they’d better disarm and they’d better turn over the hostages, or they're going to suffer the consequences. That's the most direct talk that's been given into Gaza from Netanyahu.
Meanwhile, the Houthis have escalated their aggression by launching drone attacks on Eilat in southern Israel, injuring civilians and drawing swift retaliation from the IDF. This was the strongest airstrike that Israel has put on the Houthis down in Yemen. Israel remains surrounded by enemies to the north, south, and east.
In other news, this week, Russia has been saber rattling, flying, doing overflights into Poland, flying drones into the other countries that are surrounding the border of Russia and causing concern with those nations. And earlier this week, the President, when asked about it, made the comment, “Well, let's shoot them down.”
The other nations are wondering about it, whether or not they're going to carry that out. Estonia and Poland have called for Article Four. Denmark apparently did not call for Article Four where the overflights were. Article Four of the NATO agreement calls for meetings to deal with the Russian overflights, which would call for a conference and review of what to do about the situation.
As followers of Yeshua, we must not be deceived by political promises of peace. Scripture tells us there will be a false peace before sudden destruction. Our hope is not in political leaders or resolutions at the U.N., but in the covenant-keeping God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. These events remind us to remain steadfast in faith, watchful in prayer, and ready for the coming of the Messiah.
Shabbat Shalom to all of you.
