September 5, 2025 | Messianic World Update | Israel Blocks Hamas, Netanyahu’s Sovereignty Plan, UN Push for Palestinian State
Shalom, everyone, I’m Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is September 5, 2025.
This week has been filled with significant developments concerning Israel, the Middle East, and the prophetic future we continue to watch closely.
First, we learned that Hamas’ lead spokesman—their version of “Baghdad Bob”—has been eliminated. This effectively silences a major channel of Hamas propaganda, which for years has been a tool used to deceive the world about Israel’s actions and intentions. The absence of this voice leaves Hamas further weakened, both militarily and in the propaganda war.
At the same time, the IDF Chief has issued a stark warning: Hamas must immediately surrender and release all hostages, or the IDF will level every remaining stronghold in Gaza City. Israel’s patience is clearly running thin, and the demand for justice on behalf of the hostages continues to grow.
Meanwhile, at the United Nations, the General Assembly is once again pressing for recognition of a Palestinian state. However, the U.S. State Department has blocked Palestinian representatives—and even certain allied nations—from attending. This has caused significant friction, yet it also demonstrates that not every nation is eager to reward terrorism with statehood.
Prime Minister Netanyahu also made headlines this week by reaffirming an “82% sovereignty plan” over Judea and Samaria. The implications are profound: extending sovereignty would mean an official claim over large portions of biblical Israel. This is consistent with the promises of God’s covenant, yet it also places Israel at odds with world powers who continue to push for a divided land. As students of prophecy, we know these issues will intensify as the world resists God’s plan for His people and His land.
Brothers and sisters, we must stay alert. These developments are not random. They reflect the ongoing clash between the Kingdom of God and the powers of this world. The Scriptures tell us that all nations will one day gather against Jerusalem (Zechariah 12). What we are seeing today is the unfolding of that reality.
Let us continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for the return of the hostages, and for Israel’s leaders to seek the wisdom of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Shabbat Shalom to all of you.
