January 30, 2026 | Messianic World Update | Israel, Iran, and Rising Antisemitism

Shalom, everyone, I’m Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is Friday, January 30, 2026.

This week’s update brings us face to face with the rapidly accelerating events in the Middle East and the growing hostility toward Israel and the Jewish people worldwide. We are watching history unfold in real time, and the implications are both geopolitical and prophetic.

U.S. and Israel on the Brink of Confrontation with Iran

An unprecedented U.S. military armada has now been deployed into the Middle East, surrounding Iran from multiple directions. CENTCOM has assumed command of an enormous concentration of naval and air power, including the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group, additional naval assets, Coast Guard cutters, logistics vessels, and intelligence platforms.

On the airpower front, multiple squadrons of F-35s, F-15Es, F-16s, and A-10s are positioned throughout the region, supported by tankers, drones, surveillance aircraft, and additional strategic assets here in the United States. This does not even include submarine forces or strategic bombers.

We now have more military power positioned in the Persian Gulf region than during the Gulf War.

Israel, for its part, has placed its entire military on full alert, extending the service of nearly 280,000 reservists through March. The message is unmistakable: we are standing on the edge of a major regional war.

President Trump has made it clear that Iran must choose diplomacy or face a swift, decisive, and devastating response. Iran, however, continues its open threats, boasting of missile strikes against Tel Aviv, attacks on U.S. bases throughout the region, and even the destruction of U.S. aircraft carriers.

There is no element of surprise this time. Iran’s leadership has gone underground, its missile forces are on full alert, and thousands of drones are reportedly ready for deployment. The question is no longer if conflict will erupt, but when and how.

Why the Delay?

The hesitation appears to revolve around three major factors: final force positioning, Saudi Arabia’s reluctance to allow the use of its airspace, and the ultimate objective of any military action. Is the goal regime change? The destruction of Iran’s nuclear and missile programs? Or the collapse of Iran’s proxy forces like Hamas and Hezbollah?

Airpower alone may not be sufficient to resolve the Iranian problem permanently, and a prolonged blockade presents its own challenges. Meanwhile, Iran’s threats of massive retaliation loom large.

Holocaust Remembrance and the Return of Hostages

This past week marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day, commemorating the liberation of Auschwitz. The world once pledged “never again,” yet today we are witnessing an alarming resurgence of antisemitism on a global scale.

The week also marked the return of the final Israeli hostage’s body from Gaza, concluding 843 days of anguish. Sgt. Major Ran Gvili was laid to rest in his hometown; the last hostage funeral. Every major Israeli government official was present to pay their respects. Israel has fulfilled its promise to bring every hostage home. One promise remains: the complete elimination of Hamas.

There will be no reconstruction of Gaza until Hamas disarms. Hamas now attempts to survive politically by rebranding itself as a police force, but Israel rightly rejects this deception. Terrorists cannot become caretakers of peace.

The Failure of Western Solutions

Once again, Western leaders promote economic incentives as a solution to Middle East conflict. This approach has failed repeatedly because it misunderstands the ideological foundation of Israel’s enemies. The hatred of Jews and the desire to eliminate Israel is not economic — it is ideological and generational.

Efforts to include Turkey and Qatar in Gaza’s future only compound the problem. Both nations have demonstrated sustained hostility toward Israel and active support for terrorist groups.

Zechariah warned us: Jerusalem is a burdensome stone. Every nation that attempts to lift it in defiance of God’s purposes will be injured.

Internal Pressures in Israel

Within Israel, political tensions continue over the drafting of Haredi men into military service and the survival of Netanyahu’s governing coalition. The budget bill remains critical to preventing new elections, and time is short.

Antisemitism and Leadership Accountability

Hatred of Israel and hatred of Jews are inseparable. Political leaders who speak against Israel create an atmosphere that emboldens antisemitic violence. This is not theoretical — it is observable and repeating itself across the world.

Leaders set the moral climate. When they oppose Israel, they empower those who hate Jews.

The cry of Revelation still echoes: “How long, O Lord?”

Final Thoughts

We must continue to pray — for Israel, for our leaders, and for perseverance in the days ahead. I see no path of improvement in the future. We must walk faithfully, watch carefully, and trust the God of Israel.
