April 10, 2026 | Messianic World Update | Iran War, Israel Strikes Hezbollah, U.S. Rescue Mission & Ceasefire Talks
Shalom, everyone, I’m Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is Friday, April 10th of the year 2026.
This week we continue to watch the unfolding war in the Middle East and the increasing tension surrounding Iran, Israel, and the United States. The situation has now moved into a new phase, with six weeks of warfare completed and a temporary ceasefire now in place. Negotiations are underway, but many serious concerns remain about what comes next and whether Iran will truly change its course.
Operation Roaring Lion in Israel and Operation Epic Fury have severely damaged Iran’s military capability. Their infrastructure has been devastated, and yet the conflict is far from over. There is now an internal struggle within Iran between the civilian leadership that is willing to negotiate and the IRGC, which continues to push for aggression through missiles, drones, and regional attacks. This power struggle is one of the most critical developments to watch because it will determine whether peace is even possible.
One of the most remarkable military operations of this conflict occurred this past week with the rescue of a downed F-15 weapons systems officer deep inside Iranian territory. After ejecting from his aircraft and regaining consciousness, the officer climbed a mountain, hid himself, and sent out a beacon signal with the message, “God is good.” That simple message confirmed his identity to U.S. forces and demonstrated the faith and courage that sustained him in a life-threatening situation.
The rescue operation that followed was extraordinary. A forward operating base was built in real time inside Iran, diversions were created to mislead Iranian forces, and special operations units moved in to extract him. Despite heavy Iranian resistance and a massive military response, the United States and Israel successfully rescued the aircrew with no American fatalities. It was a stunning military achievement and, in many ways, nothing short of miraculous.
President Trump has made it clear that Iran must open the Straits of Hormuz and abandon its nuclear ambitions, including surrendering enriched nuclear material. The pressure placed on Iran is designed to force a decisive conclusion to the conflict. While critics have voiced strong opposition to potential strikes on Iranian infrastructure such as power plants and bridges, the strategic goal is to prevent Iran from continuing its aggression and to reduce its military capabilities long-term.
From a military standpoint, striking Iran’s power grid would dramatically impact their ability to sustain warfare. It would disrupt transportation, agriculture, water production, and communication, potentially setting their national recovery back decades. This is why Iran is attempting to use civilian shields and propaganda to prevent such strikes, knowing how devastating the consequences would be.
A 14-day ceasefire is now in place, and negotiations are being conducted in Pakistan by Vice President J.D. Vance and other U.S. representatives. While there is optimism in Washington, I remain cautious. Iran has a long history of using negotiations as a delay tactic, buying time while repositioning and regrouping. We should not assume that their intentions have changed simply because they have agreed to talk.
At the same time, Israel carried out a major operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon called Operation Eternal Darkness. In just ten minutes, 100 sorties struck Hezbollah targets and eliminated a planned coup against the Lebanese government. Israeli intelligence discovered that Hezbollah intended to seize control of Lebanon, and Israel acted decisively to stop it. In doing so, Israel may have prevented a complete takeover of Lebanon by a terrorist organization.
This is part of the broader regional struggle that we are witnessing — a struggle between stability and chaos, between those who seek peace and those who seek destruction. The Bible has long warned us about the instability of the Middle East in the last days, and we are seeing many of those tensions unfold before our eyes.
Here in the United States, political divisions continue to intensify as the war progresses. The upcoming midterm elections will play a major role in determining the direction of the country, and there is already talk of renewed impeachment efforts if political power shifts. The battle for leadership in America and Israel will shape the future of this conflict and the stability of both nations.
Critics are concerned about the cost of the war, estimated at around $200 billion. But we must understand what is at stake. The fight against Iran and Islamic terrorism is not just about geopolitics — it is about protecting lives and preventing further violence against innocent people. Security and survival come at a cost, and sometimes difficult decisions must be made to preserve peace and stability.
As believers, our responsibility is clear. We must pray for peace in Israel, pray for wisdom for our leaders, and pray for the safety of our military personnel and civilians caught in the conflict. We must also remain spiritually alert and grounded in the Word of God as we watch these events unfold.
During this season of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, we are reminded to remove sin and corruption from our lives and draw closer to the Lord. Just as unleavened bread represents purity and obedience, we must strive to walk faithfully and remain steadfast in our trust in God’s plan.
These are serious times, but they are also times for faith, prayer, and spiritual preparation.
Shabbat Shalom to all of you.
