Shalom, everyone, I'm Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today's date is Friday, September 11, 2026. The world continues to face growing instability, and the headlines are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

As we remember September 11 and the devastating events of 25 years ago, we are reminded that threats facing the world can change quickly—and that believers should remain watchful, discerning, and grounded in Scripture.

The Iran War and the Nuclear Threat

The war with Iran continues, with the United States applying increasing military and economic pressure. Iran has launched ballistic missiles toward U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf, while the United States has responded with attacks against Iranian assets and sanctions targeting Iran's financial network.

One of the greatest concerns remains Iran's nuclear program. According to the report discussed in this week's update, the International Atomic Energy Agency has notified the United Nations that Iran is not in compliance with its nuclear obligations. Israel remains deeply concerned about Iranian nuclear activity and has made it clear that it will not accept a nuclear-armed Iran.

The question is how far this conflict will go—and whether Israel or the United States will ultimately take further action against Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

Hezbollah and the Northern Front

Israel is also continuing its efforts to eliminate the threat posed by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Israeli forces reportedly discovered and destroyed a massive underground Hezbollah complex beneath Al-Tahir Ridge.

The facility reportedly included tunnels, weapons and ammunition storage, headquarters facilities, and hospital beds. Israel's objective is clear: prevent Hezbollah from using southern Lebanon as a launching point for another major attack against northern Israel.

At the same time, Israel is looking to the Lebanese government to take greater responsibility for preventing Hezbollah from rebuilding its military infrastructure.

The Houthis and the Red Sea

Another developing concern is the situation in Yemen and the Red Sea. The Houthi rebels, backed by Iran, continue to represent a threat to one of the world's most important shipping corridors.

The capture of the port city of Mocha by forces opposing the Houthis raises concerns about the security of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Any effort to disrupt this passage could have significant consequences for regional trade and Saudi oil exports.

The Middle East is increasingly becoming a network of interconnected conflicts, with Iran and its regional proxies influencing events far beyond Iran's own borders.

Israel, Judea and Samaria—and a Growing Conflict with Britain

Israel is also facing increasing international pressure over developments in Judea and Samaria. Reports of violence between Palestinian attackers and Israeli settlers have generated condemnation, while Israel's efforts to expand Jewish communities and develop the E1 area are being viewed internationally as a rejection of the traditional two-state framework.

That disagreement has now produced a serious diplomatic conflict between Israel and the United Kingdom.

Britain has announced sanctions and trade restrictions targeting Israeli settlements in the West Bank, citing settlement expansion and settler violence. The British government says its measures are intended to protect the possibility of a two-state solution.

Israel has responded forcefully. Israeli officials announced measures against Britain that include plans to close the British consulate in East Jerusalem, restrict the entry of British officials, and end certain areas of British-Israeli cooperation.

For believers who read the Bible literally, Judea and Samaria are not simply pieces of disputed territory. They are part of the biblical heartland of Israel.

The Temple Mount Is Moving to the Forefront

Perhaps the most significant development to watch is taking place in Jerusalem.

According to this week's report, Jewish worshipers have been openly praying, singing, dancing, and bringing prayer books onto the Temple Mount. If the existing status quo continues to change, the Temple Mount could become an even greater point of conflict—and prophetic significance.

Watch for the Altar and the Daily Sacrifice

For students of biblical prophecy, this is especially important. There is currently no functioning altar and no daily sacrifice on the Temple Mount. However, Scripture identifies the stopping of the daily sacrifice as a major prophetic marker associated with the coming Great Tribulation.

That means we should not allow speculation, political predictions, or artificial intelligence to replace the biblical markers God has already given us. We should watch Jerusalem. We should watch the Temple Mount. And we should pay attention to any developments surrounding the altar and the daily sacrifice.

Israel's Coming Election

Israel's October election is another important development. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's position within Likud has strengthened, and political maneuvering is already underway.

There are also renewed allegations concerning what Israeli leadership may or may not have known before the October 7 attack. Netanyahu has denied the accusations, and the issue is becoming part of the political battle leading into the election.

Whatever the political outcome, Israel's leadership will continue to face enormous security challenges from Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and other regional threats.

Artificial Intelligence and the Search for Answers

Another subject addressed in this week's update is artificial intelligence.

AI is advancing at an extraordinary pace, but with that advancement comes growing concern about safeguards and the potential consequences of increasingly autonomous systems. Reports of AI models behaving in unexpected ways have raised questions about how much control humans will ultimately maintain over these technologies.

AI has even been asked to analyze biblical prophecy and predict when the end of the age might occur. One such prediction reportedly placed the end somewhere between 2028 and 2031. But an AI prediction is not biblical prophecy.

The Bible—not artificial intelligence—is our authority.

Remembering September 11

September 11, 2026, marks 25 years since the terrorist attacks that changed America and the world.

It is important that we remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives, honor the first responders and others who sacrificed themselves, and teach younger generations what happened and why remembering matters.

That should cause us to take seriously the instability we see today—but not to respond with fear. Instead, believers should respond with truth, discernment, prayer, and a commitment to biblical righteousness.

A World Turned Upside Down

Isaiah warned of a time when moral distinctions would be reversed—when what is good would be called evil and what is evil would be called good. That warning should cause every believer to examine the world around us through the lens of Scripture.

We do not know the exact day or hour of Messiah's return. We should not attempt to manufacture prophetic dates from headlines, algorithms, or political predictions.

But we can watch.

We can watch Israel.
We can watch Jerusalem.
We can watch the Temple Mount.
We can watch the nations.
And above all, we can watch the Word of God.

The world may be becoming increasingly unstable, but our calling has not changed: remain faithful, remain watchful, and keep our eyes fixed on the coming King.
