November 10, 2023 | Messianic World Update | Israel's Situation in the Middle East

Shalom, everyone! I'm Monte Judah, and I welcome you to another edition of Messianic World Update.

A Biblical Account:

I want to start by explaining that the conflict between Israel and Hamas stems from the biblical story of Jacob and Esau, where Jacob, representing the Jewish people, received the birthright blessing from their father, Isaac. This birthright included the land of Israel, which is why the Palestinians claim that the Jews are occupiers of their land. This ancient story is unfolding in the modern Middle East, with the descendants of Esau seeking to kill the descendants of Jacob.

The Progress of the War:

Israel's war with Hamas in Gaza has progressed more quickly than anticipated, with the IDF making significant advancements in eliminating Hamas and locating and rescuing hostages. However, the focus on rescuing hostages is not always aligned with the priorities of Israel's allies, who may lose sight of the importance of this objective. Israel has destroyed numerous tunnels used by Hamas and is currently engaged in targeting the Hamas headquarters located beneath Shifa Hospital.

International Involvement and Media Bias:

The United States has been urging Israel to prioritize humanitarian efforts and agree to a ceasefire. However, Israel has refused, as a ceasefire would only aid Hamas and put the hostages at risk. There have also been disturbing revelations regarding embedded photojournalists from prominent Western media outlets who were with Hamas terrorists during the attack on October 7th. This raises questions about media bias and complicity in the conflict.

Challenges and Risks in Other Areas:

While the focus remains on the conflict in Gaza, there are other areas of concern. In the West Bank, Israeli settlers and civilians are at risk from Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists. There have been attempts to infiltrate these areas under the guise of the olive harvest, with the intention of surveilling and potentially attacking Israeli settlers. Additionally, there is ongoing tension and combat along the northern border with Lebanon and Syria, where Hezbollah is waiting to attack.

Implications for the Region:

I want to emphasize that this is not a local conflict but a regional war with global implications. Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorist groups have a common goal of eliminating Israel and are willing to kill as many Jews as possible. The conflict has the potential to ignite a world war, although the fuse may be long. Compromised leadership, media propaganda, and a lack of understanding among the general population of the United States and other Western countries contribute to the complexity of the situation.

Supporting Israeli Families:

In light of the ongoing threats, I want to urge you to support efforts to protect Israeli families living in the West Bank through HaYovel and The Israel Guys' project, Operation Ittai. Lion and Lamb Ministries is partnering with these organizations to raise funds to provide essential equipment such as bulletproof vests, helmets, drones, and flashlights to enhance their defense capabilities. Thank you, and Shalom to all of you!
