October 24, 2025 | Messianic World Update | Israel’s Ceasefire Crumbles, Annexation Advances, and Prophecy Unfolds
Shalom, everyone, I’m Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is Friday, October 24th, 2025.
This week’s developments in Israel and around the world show just how unstable and prophetic our times have become. The slow return of Israeli bodies from Gaza, the crumbling ceasefire with Hamas, the controversial annexation bill, and global shifts in power all point to the reality that prophecy is unfolding before our eyes.
The Ceasefire That Isn’t
Two more bodies of Israeli citizens were returned from Gaza this week, bringing the total to thirteen returned and thirteen still held. Each return is marked by grief, as Israel continues to hold funeral after funeral. Meanwhile, Hamas has once again broken the ceasefire — launching rocket-propelled grenades and sniper attacks at Israeli forces.
In response, Israel has retaliated with precision airstrikes. Despite international claims of a ceasefire, the truth is clear: Hamas continues to wage war. They now claim to have 20,000 armed men, though most are new recruits. Their so-called “hudna” — a temporary ceasefire — is not peace. It is a tactic, designed to allow rearmament before the next wave of violence.
While the world declares peace, Israel and Hamas know better. Israel’s Defense Minister Katz insists the goal remains the same: complete disarmament of Hamas and lasting peace in Gaza — though that goal appears increasingly out of reach.
Annexation and Political Turmoil in Israel
Within the Knesset, the annexation of Judea and Samaria continues to stir controversy. The first reading of the annexation bill narrowly passed, 25–24 — by a single vote. That one vote cost a Likud member his job. Prime Minister Netanyahu, under U.S. pressure, had instructed his party not to support the measure.
The United States government, including Secretary of State Rubio and Vice President Vance, opposes annexation, fearing it will jeopardize President Trump’s Gaza peace plan and alienate Arab partners. However, the Israeli public remains largely in favor, tired of global interference in Israel’s right to its biblical heartland.
At the same time, tension grows over Israel’s military draft. Ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) students are being arrested for draft evasion, and religious parties are crying foul, claiming the government is “fighting a war on Torah.” Most Israelis, however, believe every citizen should serve — including Torah students. Public patience is running thin as the nation calls for unity in defense of the homeland.
U.S. Command in Israel
In a significant move, President Trump has authorized the U.S. CENTCOM to establish a headquarters in Kiryat Gat, southern Israel. This facility now oversees all Gaza ceasefire operations. American and Israeli personnel share intelligence and logistical command, coordinating efforts to stabilize the region. Over 100 U.S. military personnel are now stationed there — a powerful sign of deepening U.S.-Israel cooperation.
However, critics say this blurs the line between ally and overseer. Some argue Israel risks becoming a “protectorate” of the United States. Trump’s team denies this, emphasizing the shared mission of peace and stability. But Netanyahu’s growing frustration with Hamas violations suggests this ceasefire may soon collapse — and Israel may act again.
A Prophetic Moment in Rome
In one of the most remarkable global events of the week, King Charles III met with Pope Leo in the Sistine Chapel — and together they prayed. This is the first time in more than 500 years that an English monarch has prayed with the Pope. Behind them loomed Michelangelo’s fresco of The End of the World — a striking image, given prophetic expectations about the end times.
Students of prophecy should take note: many have long speculated that a future European leader could play a role in the rise of the Anti-Messiah, with the false prophet coming from the religious sphere. Whether coincidence or divine foreshadowing, this unprecedented meeting between the King and the Pope is worth watching closely.
Watching, Praying, and Standing Firm
Believers must remain alert. Israel’s struggles — politically, militarily, and spiritually — mirror the prophetic warnings of Scripture. As the nations align and the world’s leaders move toward unity under false peace, we draw closer to the day of redemption.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for the return of the remaining bodies. And pray that Israel’s leaders seek the wisdom of God rather than the approval of the nations.
Thank you for your prayers and support — both spiritual and financial — that keep these broadcasts going each week.
Shabbat Shalom to all of you.
