Shalom, everyone, I’m Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is Friday, November 21, 2025.
This week’s developments in Israel and the broader Middle East underscore how truly prophetic our days are. We are witnessing increasing instability, expanding spiritual conflict, and a world sliding closer to judgment, while still offering glimpses of God’s mercy. Let’s walk through the major events shaping the week.
Terror in Gush Etzion
The community of Gush Etzion, a Jewish area south of Bethlehem, was shaken by yet another brutal terror attack. Palestinian terrorists used their vehicle as a weapon, ramming Israeli civilians before exiting the car and attacking with knives. A 71-year-old Israeli man was murdered, and three others sustained severe injuries. IDF soldiers nearby eliminated the attackers swiftly.
Prime Minister Netanyahu visited the site and declared, “This is why there will never be a Palestinian state.” His point is unmistakable—how can Israel negotiate peace with people who respond to coexistence with bloodshed? Once again, terrorism reveals the heart of the conflict, and it is not land—it is hatred of the Jewish people.
UN Security Council Endorses Trump’s Peace Plan
In a surprising development, the UN Security Council approved President Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace proposal with a 13–0 vote, with only China and Russia abstaining. Many global leaders are now proclaiming that this a “path to a Palestinian state.”
Israel, however, remains cautious. They appreciate Trump’s past support, especially during Gaza and Iranian conflicts, but they do not agree with every stage of this plan. Still, out of respect and strategic alignment, they are cooperating for now.
Saudi Crown Prince Visits the White House
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with President Trump this week, in what the media described as a “bromance.” Lavish meals, gold plates, and warm smiles dominated the visit. Saudi Arabia requested American F-35 fighter jets, even the advanced versions sold to Israel—and Trump agreed enthusiastically.
The U.S. continues to push for Saudi Arabia to formally join the Abraham Accords, but the Saudis remain noncommittal. They won’t normalize yet. They won’t improve relations with Israel yet. And though they are open to economic cooperation, nothing concrete has emerged.
Gaza: Ceasefire at Risk
Israel launched precision strikes against Hamas this week after Hamas operatives attacked IDF soldiers inside the controlled zone. The U.S., observing the situation closely, supported Israel’s response. Approximately 20 Hamas operatives were killed.
Remarkably, Hamas complained that Israel’s defensive actions were “endangering the ceasefire”—as if firing at IDF soldiers does not do exactly that. IDF forces also discovered an eight-tube rocket launcher hidden within the Israeli-controlled Yellow Line area, proving Hamas never intended peace.
Lebanon Front Heating Up
Israel also struck Hamas weapons depots in southern Lebanon, targeting advanced munitions stockpiles as Hamas attempts to rebuild its military capabilities outside Gaza. Hamas openly refuses to disarm, even as the international community discusses stabilization forces.
Indonesia and Azerbaijan have offered up to 20,000 troops for peacekeeping roles. Others propose training non-Hamas Palestinian police. But Hamas insists that any such effort is dangerous—and they will not accept it. Israel, rightly, says Hamas must relinquish control of Gaza entirely.
Meanwhile, President Trump appears to be softening his insistence on Hamas disarmament—a concerning shift, given that nearly every nation agrees disarmament is essential for any lasting stability.
Judea and Samaria: Settler Violence & Rising Tensions
The conflict has also intensified in Judea and Samaria. A minority group of Israeli settlers carried out violent attacks against Palestinian villages—burning vehicles, damaging property, and assaulting civilians. Ambassador Mike Huckabee condemned the acts as illegal, clarifying they do not represent the broader settler community.
As believers, we must be clear: violence outside lawful self-defense is not righteousness. Torah instructs justice—not vigilante retaliation.
Internal Israeli Religious Conflict
Political conflict erupted between ultra-Orthodox parties regarding attempts to exempt yeshiva students from IDF service. Many drafted Haredim have failed to report, prompting calls for arrests and inflaming tensions between the United Torah Judaism and Shas parties.
Netanyahu faces pressure to fill key portfolios that representatives from the religious parties are failing to fulfill. Meanwhile, internal disputes among the ultra-Orthodox continue to grow, revealing deep fractures within Israeli society.
Netanyahu Holds Firm in Syria
Prime Minister Netanyahu visited Israeli-controlled territory in southern Syria this week, reaffirming that IDF forces will remain there as long as necessary to protect Israel’s security interests.
Syria insisted Israel’s presence violates their sovereignty, and President Trump has previously encouraged Israel to withdraw. Netanyahu, however, stands firm, understanding the strategic importance of the region amid Iranian and Syrian escalation.
Oval Office Controversy
During a White House appearance by the Saudi Crown Prince, an ABC reporter questioned him about his role in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the involvement of Saudi nationals in the 9/11 attacks, and information about the Epstein files. President Trump reacted explosively, verbally attacking both the reporter and ABC News.
While I continue to appreciate President Trump’s strong support for Israel and many of his policies, his behavior in this moment was unpresidential and inappropriate. We are living in days where righteousness and chaos sit side by side—moments of strength mixed with moments of great moral confusion.
