August 22, 2025 | Messianic World Update | Israel’s Gaza Offensive, Hamas Desperation, and Prophecy Unfolding

Shalom, everyone, I’m Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is Friday, August 22, 2025.

This week has been one of the most critical moments in Israel’s ongoing conflict with Hamas and the broader struggle for truth and survival in the Middle East. Let’s go through the updates, and I’ll share with you why these events matter—not only politically, but spiritually, as we continue to watch prophecy unfolding before our very eyes.

Operation Gideon’s Chariots II in Gaza

The IDF has launched Operation Gideon’s Chariots II, a full-scale push into Gaza City, where an estimated 2 million Palestinians live and where the last Hamas strongholds are located. Over 60,000 reservists have been called up, alongside armored and urban warfare units. The IDF expects the operation to take 4–5 months, though Netanyahu has now ordered the timeline to be accelerated.

The goal is clear: root out Hamas, recover the hostages and the bodies of those hostages whose bodies are being held, and secure Israel’s southern border. While Hamas responds with desperation—including tunnel attacks and fake ceasefire negotiations—Israel presses forward. The hostages’ families are deeply concerned, yet the IDF has rightly demanded that all hostages be freed and the war ended—not piecemeal deals that prolong the conflict.

Hamas Desperation and Terrorist Attacks

This week saw another attempted Hamas offensive. Terrorists emerged from tunnels near Israeli outposts, seeking to kidnap soldiers. Their efforts ended in disaster, with 15 out of 18 terrorists killed. Once again, we see Hamas using deception, violence, and tunnels as their strategy—while Israel responds with strength.

Scripture reminds us that the enemies of Israel will dig pits, yet fall into them themselves (Psalm 7:15). This is happening before our eyes.

The Haredi Draft Protests

Inside Israel, a different kind of conflict continues. Ultra-Orthodox Haredi groups are blocking roads and protesting IDF draft laws. While they insist their Torah study “saves Israel,” they forget that it is the God of Israel who saves. Meanwhile, ordinary Israelis grow more frustrated, as their sons and daughters serve faithfully in the IDF while others seek exemption.

This division reflects a larger spiritual problem: relying on religious tradition rather than obedience to the Lord. Israel’s survival is not dependent on rabbis, politics, or yeshiva degrees—but on the covenant promises of God.

The Palestinian Authority’s Push for Statehood

Mahmoud Abbas has announced a committee to draft a constitution for a new Palestinian state. Twenty-one nations, including France and England, are backing this initiative for September. But what would such a state look like?

The chants of “From the river to the sea” tell the truth: the goal is not coexistence, but the elimination of Israel. The so-called “Palestinian people” are not an indigenous nation but Arabs—yet history, propaganda, and lies continue to sway governments and academics worldwide.

This propaganda has fueled antisemitism on college campuses, where even the October 7th massacre was excused, justified, or outright denied. The world is once again forgetting the words “Never Again.” Yet prophecy warns us that the nations will turn against Israel, and we are seeing the seeds of Ezekiel’s words take root.

Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Regional Developments

In Lebanon, some Palestinian factions have begun disarming, but Hezbollah resists. UNIFIL has failed to keep Hezbollah in check, and Israel is pressing the UN to abandon its ineffective mission. Tensions remain high, though negotiations involving Syria and the United States show potential openings for peace. Still, we know the prophetic reality: peace in the Middle East will not last until Messiah returns.

Looking Ahead

Friends, we must remain watchful and prayerful. These events are not random politics—they are the unfolding of God’s plan. From Hamas’ hatred to the growing global calls for a Palestinian state, the stage is being set for the final conflicts described in Scripture.

We also look forward to upcoming teachings, including my interview with Eddie Chumney on Jacob and Esau—the true biblical roots of today’s Middle East conflict. And of course, our Fall Feasts are drawing near. I encourage you to join us for the Feast of Tabernacles at tabernaclesevent.com.

Shabbat Shalom to all of you.
