Shalom, everyone, I’m Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is Friday, April 17th of the year 2026.
We have now entered the seventh week of the ongoing conflict involving Israel, the United States, and Iran. As events continue to unfold rapidly, it is important for us as believers to remain grounded in both truth and Scripture, discerning the times in which we live.
At present, we are in the final days of a fragile ceasefire with Iran. The United States has taken a decisive step by establishing a full naval blockade of Iranian ports, effectively countering Iran’s claims that they had shut down the Straits of Hormuz. As it turns out, no mines have been discovered, exposing those claims as false. Meanwhile, global oil dynamics have shifted, with nations increasingly turning to the United States for energy supply, placing tremendous economic pressure on Iran.
Reports indicate that Iran is losing hundreds of millions of dollars daily. Their economy is under severe strain, and leadership within Iran is beginning to acknowledge the possibility of imminent collapse. Negotiations have been attempted, including direct talks led by Vice President J.D. Vance, but thus far no agreement has been reached. Should diplomacy fail in the coming days, both the United States and Israel are prepared to resume intensified military action.
In the north, Israel’s conflict with Hezbollah remains volatile. Despite a temporary ceasefire brokered by the United States, the situation is far from resolved. Hezbollah has launched thousands of attacks, while Israel has responded with significant force, eliminating key leadership within the organization. Lebanon itself appears to be distancing from Hezbollah, even requesting the departure of Iranian influence within its borders.
Here in the United States, we are witnessing a troubling rise in anti-Israel sentiment. What was once a minority viewpoint is now gaining traction across broader segments of society and government. Calls to withdraw support from Israel are becoming more common, reflecting a deeper shift not only in foreign policy perspectives but also in national values.
Additionally, there has been public discourse involving the Pope, who has criticized wartime actions while remaining largely silent on atrocities committed by terrorist regimes and groups internationally. This inconsistency raises important questions about moral clarity in global leadership.
From a prophetic standpoint, these events align with what Yeshua described—wars and rumors of wars, increasing turmoil, and growing instability among nations. While we are not yet at the end, we are clearly moving closer. Developments in Israel, particularly regarding territorial matters and the Temple Mount, remain critical indicators to watch.
There is also a strategic dimension unfolding: if Iran collapses economically, it could trigger a domino effect, weakening Hezbollah and Hamas. Such a shift could significantly alter the balance of power in the Middle East and open the door for new developments—both politically and prophetically.
As always, we continue to pray—for Israel, for the United States, for those in harm’s way, and even for the people of Iran, that they may experience freedom and deliverance from oppression.
