Shalom, everyone, I’m Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is Friday, May 1st, 2026—May Day—and there is much unfolding in the nations that aligns with the broader prophetic framework we study in the Scriptures.

This week, global tensions have intensified, particularly in the Middle East. The naval blockade against Iran has now entered its second week, significantly restricting the nation’s economic activity. Reports suggest that Iran is feeling the pressure, with mounting signs of internal instability. Historically, blockades are not merely military maneuvers—they are instruments designed to force change without immediate large-scale conflict. Yet, in this case, the internal power struggle within Iran complicates any diplomatic outcome.

While some Iranian officials appear willing to negotiate, ultimate authority lies with the IRGC and the Supreme Leader, who remain unwilling to concede on critical issues such as nuclear development and control of strategic waterways. This creates a stalemate. From a prophetic perspective, we recognize that Persia (modern-day Iran) plays a significant role in the last days, as outlined in the book of Ezekiel. The hardening of positions we are witnessing may very well be setting the stage for future fulfillment.

Military preparations are increasing. The United States and Israel are both positioning forces in anticipation of possible operations. Israel has instructed the IDF to prepare for action, potentially within days. Should military engagement begin, it is expected to be swift and decisive, targeting key infrastructure and defensive capabilities. The deployment of advanced systems, including new anti-drone technology like the Iron Beam, highlights the evolving nature of warfare in this region.

Meanwhile, conflict continues in southern Lebanon. Despite official statements of a ceasefire, hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah persist. Rockets continue to be launched into Israel, and retaliatory strikes are ongoing. This ongoing instability along Israel’s northern border is another reminder of the persistent threats surrounding the nation—exactly as the prophets described.

Here in the United States, internal tensions are also rising. There has been another reported assassination attempt against the President, which underscores a troubling escalation in political hostility. While this program is not political in nature, it is important to address the spiritual implications of such actions. Scripture is clear: hatred in the heart is equivalent to murder. When rhetoric escalates to violence, it reflects a deeper moral and spiritual issue within a nation.

As believers, our responsibility is not to be consumed by political division but to discern the times and respond in accordance with the teachings of the Messiah. Yeshua instructed us to guard our hearts, to avoid hatred, and to pursue righteousness. What we are witnessing is not just political unrest—it is a spiritual battle affecting the direction of our nation.

We must pray—for our leaders, for Israel, and for the nations. We must pray that truth prevails, that righteousness is upheld, and that God’s purposes are fulfilled according to His will.
