May 8, 2026 | Messianic World Update | U.S.–Iran Blockade, Israel–Hezbollah Conflict & Rising Global Anti‑Semitism

Shalom, everyone, I'm Monte Judah with Lion and Lamb Ministries, bringing you the latest Messianic World Update. Today’s date is Friday, May 8th, 2026.

This week has been one of the most intense and consequential moments in the ongoing conflict between the United States, Iran, Israel, and Hezbollah. The geopolitical landscape continues to shift rapidly, and as believers who understand the prophetic significance of these events, we must remain watchful, discerning, and prayerful.

The U.S.–Iran Naval Blockade: Three Weeks and Counting

The U.S. naval blockade against Iran has now entered its third week, and it is economically suffocating the Iranian regime. As I shared in the broadcast, Iran is losing “about $400 million a day” in halted oil revenue. More than 53 ships have been turned around, and some have been seized or even fired upon. One dramatic moment involved an F‑18 firing its 20mm cannon to disable a ship’s rudder — a rare and serious escalation.

The U.S. briefly launched Operation Freedom, intended to escort neutral ships trapped in the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz. But the operation was abruptly halted after Saudi Arabia blocked U.S. airspace due to lack of coordination. This is a recurring issue with the President — he assumes carte blanche authority in the region, but our allies expect consultation.

The UAE continues to take the brunt of Iranian missile and drone attacks. Israel’s deployment of the Iron Beam laser defense system has been a game‑changer, shooting down drones at a fraction of the cost of Iron Dome interceptors.

The Elusive Iran Agreement

The President insists that a one‑page, 14‑point memorandum of understanding is close to completion. The centerpiece is Iran giving up its nuclear program and surrendering enriched material to a third country. Rumors suggest Iran may agree to ship out its nuclear stockpile — but the real question is whether the IRGC will comply.

Iran’s strategy is unchanged: delay, stall, and outlast the United States. They believe that if they simply survive, they win.

Meanwhile, Iran faces a crisis the media barely mentions: they are running out of places to store oil. Shutting down pumps risks catastrophic damage to wells and pipelines. Restarting them could be nearly impossible. This may be the pressure point that forces Iran to the table more than any military threat.

Israel vs. Hezbollah: The Northern Front Intensifies

Israel continues its operations in southern Lebanon. This week, the IDF struck Beirut again, eliminating several top Hezbollah commanders, including leaders from the notorious Radwan force.

Israel has ordered evacuations of multiple Lebanese villages as the IDF prepares to take control of them. Hezbollah has shifted to using small operator‑guided drones with explosive payloads, resulting in IDF casualties.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has made it clear:

Even if the U.S. signs an agreement with Iran, Israel’s conflict with Iran is not over. Israel will continue to act against Iranian threats as needed.

The Israeli public overwhelmingly supports continuing the war until Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran’s proxies are neutralized. Many Israelis feel the U.S. is restraining Israel too much, and Netanyahu is facing political pressure as elections approach.

Gaza: Humanitarian Challenges and Rat Infestations

In Gaza’s tent cities, a severe rat infestation has emerged. Israel is now sending rat poison and extermination supplies. As I noted, Palestinian communities often struggle with sanitation, which worsens the problem.

A National Sabbath Proclamation

In a historic move, President Trump has called for a National Sabbath observance across the United States to honor the nation’s 250th birthday and to stand with Israel. This coincides with Israel Advocacy Day, involving 37 states.

This is a powerful moment. The Sabbath is a sign between God and Israel, established at creation. For America to acknowledge it publicly is no small thing.

Global Rise in Anti‑Semitism

Jew hatred is no longer sporadic — it is a global trend.

A few examples I shared:

  • The National Education Association now openly tolerates anti‑Semitism among its members.

  • Four out of five Jewish families in France are planning to leave due to rising violence.

  • In Belgium, three mohels were arrested for performing ritual circumcisions.

  • Australia has stopped pursuing anti‑Semitism cases.

  • Norway is defending professors who praise the October 7th attacks.

  • New York synagogues are preparing for protests despite new buffer‑zone laws.

This is the world we now live in — and Scripture warned us this day would come.

King Charles Visits the U.S.

King Charles’ recent visit was intended to repair strained relations between the U.S. and the U.K. Despite Democrats hosting “No Kings” rallies, they applauded him in Congress. As I’ve said before, King Charles fits several prophetic patterns — especially the idea of a leader with influence but no power of his own. His globalist ambitions remain worth watching.

Supporting the Friends of the IDF

This month, Lion and Lamb Ministries is raising funds for the Friends of the IDF, supporting wounded soldiers, PTSD treatment, widows, orphans, and lone soldiers. We shared the testimony of Dudi, a soldier severely wounded after October 7th. Thanks to FIDF counseling, he said he is “a different man” today. Show your support at LLGive.com.
